Slow cooker chicken recipes
Chicken slow cooker recipes are so useful, we always have chicken in the fridge, whether that is chicken breasts, chicken thighs, diced chicken or a whole chicken.
Tips for best results with chicken
- Don't cook for too long - chicken breasts are low in fat so if you cook them for too many hours they can become dry and stringy. Only go up to 5-6 hours on low (3 on high) if you can.
- If you are out for longer hours then use chicken thighs, these have a higher fat content which means they can be cooked for longer without problems. Chicken thighs taste great too and work well in all kinds of dish!
- There is no need to brown chicken before cooking so you can just throw the ingredients in your pot and go!
