Slow Cooker Maple, Cinnamon and Raisin Porridge

Use your slow cooker to make a warming breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 60 g rolled oats
  • 300 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 150 ml cold water
  • 50 g dried mixed fruit
  • 4 tsp pure light maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Place all of the ingredients in the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours.

Notes

The amounts given are enough for me and two small children, with a small bowl each. If you are feeding more or have a good appetite in the morning, you may need to double it up!
I use my 3.5 litre digital slow cooker for this, which isn't too hot. If you have a slow cooker which runs very hot, you may need to reduce the time.
