Mix the rolled oats, baking powder and sugar in a dish which can be used in the oven.
200 g rolled oats, 2 tsp baking powder, 35 g light brown sugar
Beat the eggs in a jug, add the milk and pour the eggs and milk over the oat mixture.
2 medium eggs, 250 ml milk
Mix well so it is fully combined.
Add the gooseberries and mix.
150 g pink/dessert gooseberries
Sprinkle the teaspoon of light brown sugar on top then bake for 35 minutes at 180℃ / 350℉, until golden on top and set through.
5 g brown sugar
Eat warm or cold.
