My husband requested a cake I made once last year for this year’s birthday cake: a raspberry and almond madeira cake.
Good timing as raspberries are absolutely delicious right now. We picked some lovely ones at Crockford Bridge Farm pick-your-own last week, those admittedly those are long gone!
Just out of the oven. The orange zest makes this smell gorgeous when baking.
Now dusted with icing sugar, after cooling. Difficult to resist!
The raspberries inside are still really moist. Yum.
Still plenty left for the kids to try tomorrow!
